Care

Fabric and care

Technical fabric is not delicate, but it is particular. Treated properly a good legging lasts years rather than a season.

The short version

Why softener is the one to avoid

Fabric softener works by coating fibres. On elastane that coating traps oils and stops the fabric releasing moisture — which is most of what you are paying for. It is the fastest way to ruin a good legging, and the damage is not reversible.

Why heat matters

Elastane is what gives compression its recovery — the pull back to shape after every stretch. Heat breaks it down permanently: a tumble dryer or a hot wash will leave a waistband that rolls and knees that stay bagged. Cold water and air drying cost nothing and are the whole difference.

Washing after training

Do not leave damp kit balled up in a bag. If you cannot wash it the same day, hang it to dry first — most of what people mistake for fabric that holds odour is bacteria growing in a wet pile.

Pilling and snags

Washing inside out and avoiding rough surfaces — gym benches, velcro, zips in the same load — prevents most of it. A snag is a pulled thread rather than a hole: ease it back through from the inside rather than cutting it.

What each piece is made of

Every product page lists its exact composition and its own care instructions, because a brushed cotton tee and a compressive knit do not want the same treatment. Browse the collection to see them.
